Misc.

So tonight after dinner Sean was carrying his cup of milk to the kitchen. I came in behind him and saw him coming from the direction of the garbage can. Since I knew he still had some milk left in his cup, I asked him, "where did you pour your milk?"

Sean, "In the sink, mommy."

Me, "Ok, I was just making sure you didn't pour it in the garbage can."

Sean, "No, garbage cans don't have drains."

Indeed they don't!

Connor and the Growl

If you haven't had a chance to experience Connor's growl-y voice first hand, here's a taste, albeit a small one. You can also see why I don't actually video him very often. As soon as the camera comes out he immediately stops what he's doing and runs toward me to play with the lens cap and try to see himself.

Sean and Connor love playing legos together. Sean has built some pretty cool things with his legos recently. I really need to get some pictures next time he does!

Sit-n-spin

With all the 'new' toys my kids have, it's fun to see them enjoy something I remember enjoying as a child as well. Connor hasn't quite gotten the whole sitting and spinning thing down, but he does like to climb on it. Occasionally Reagan or Sean will spin him around while he's sitting on his knees.

Oh, and even though I don't have pictures of it right now, Reagan and Sean have both been enjoying this toy as well. In fact, I think we bought it for Sean when he was little.

Living in a Digital World

So, Reagan's turning 8 on Sunday! I can hardly believe it. But more on that another time. So I need to get in touch with one of her soccer friends to invite her to the party. I told Reagan this morning I had sent an e-mail, but that I would also look up her phone number and call her parents. So Reagan asks me if I'm going to look the number up in the phone book. I told her no, I would just use my computer.

As I'm giving my answer, Sean yells from the back of the truck, 'What's a phone book?'!

Very telling indeed! I don't know if he has ever even seen a phone book at our house. They still deliver them to us, and I still throw them away. On second thought, I don't think we've gotten one in awhile. I suppose that's because we finally took the plunge and got rid of our landline.

Anyway, I cracked up at the thought of Sean no being familiar with a phone book!

My Little Angels

Reagan and Sean were angels in this year's Christmas Eve Service at our church.

Reagan is waiting patiently for showtime.

Sean and Noah. Noah got to be a shepherd. Sean told me he couldn't wait until he was 6 so he could be a shepherd or a wise man.

Reagan, Sean and Mollie were the 3 angels.

Reagan took this picture of me with Jillian and Sarah. They're not my little angels, but it was nice to see them at Christmas and get a pretty good picture!

New Connor Video

I haven't recorded much of the funny stuff Connor has done lately, mostly because I never have the camera around when he's doing it! Anyway, here's one I did manage to capture last weekend. We were visiting my folks' after they returned from Switzerland. The kids were having a great time clobbering Aunt Savannah and Uncle Philip!

Not Pork Tenderloin

This post is for Rebecca. Since she's apparently tired of seeing my pork tenderloin recipe! I almost promise a better post at some point during this next week! We'll see what happens.

We went to Dig Park with Shelly, Alyssa, Holden and Tanner a couple of weeks ago. It was one of the coldest afternoons this winter. We didn't stay very long. Connor was as happy as he could be with his banana! Plus, he didn't really seem to mind the cold at all.

This is Shelly and her youngest son, Tanner. I'll take more pictures next time we go. It's a really neat park. It's called Dig Park bc the covered area in the background has this sand-like substance that the kids can dig in. You can bring trucks and buckets and shovels and stuff. And there are a couple of 'fossils' that the kids can dig up as well. It's pretty neat.
