Well, the kids and I are off on an adventure for the week! We're leaving today to visit Grandma in Tallahassee for a couple of days. Then we'll head to Tuscaloosa, AL to visit Heather and her kids. It should be an interesting (and fun) trip. I should have plenty of pictures to post once we get back. I wanted to be sure to get this one up before I left:
As you can see, Sean enjoys looking at comics, and Connor just enjoys hanging out with Sean.

My, how time flies!
I can't believe Connor is 7 months old already!
This was taken right before we brought Connor home from the hospital. He had to stay an extra night bc of a little jaundice.
This is from this afternoon when Sean and I were playing with Connor in his room.
His bear is almost as big as him!
It's just amazing to me how much they change in such a short amount of time. It seems like just yesterday he could barely hold his head up. Now he's sitting all by himself, grabbing toys and enjoying bananas.

Damian and I have been blessed with a new niece! My sister, Rebecca, and her husband have adopted a little girl from Rochester, NY. She was born March 17th. They signed the papers yesterday, March 20th. We praise God for his good gifts to our family. There are more pictures of Anastasia and the proud parents here.March 17, 2007

The only downside is I don't know when I'll actually get to MEET my new niece! Becca and Matt are heading off to Geneva, Switzerland in the fall. They'll be gone the whole school year. Maybe they'll make it to Florida before they leave (hint, hint Becca!).
Reagan and Sean are also very excited about their new cousin and can't wait to see her. It's really neat that Lorien, Connor and Anastasia are so close in age. Should be lots of fun for my folks!

Take Me out to the Lacrosse Game!
My brother plays JV Lacrosse for Ft. Myers High School. The kids and I were able to go to his game against Barron Collier (my old stomping ground) on March 9th. It was a lot of fun to hear Reagan and Sean cheering for Uncle Philip. In fact, they wouldn't STOP cheering!
Philip enters the game. He's number 18. I have no clue what position he plays. I really don't know any of the rules of lacrosse either.
Here's Philip after he suffered an illegal cross-check by some idiot on the Barron team. He had a nice bruise to show for it after!
Connor was having fun messing with Reagan's face. He kinda reminds me of a dentist in this shot.
My mom held Connor for most of the game. I think he only spit up on her once! This is significant because he had already spit up on her 3 or 4 times at my house before we went to the game.
I almost forgot something funny Sean said. When we got to the game Sean said to me, very seriously, 'Mommy, does Uncle Philip believe in Jesus?' I told him yes, and then he said, 'Is that why he plays the cross?'
It's always amazing to me the difference between what is said and what kids actually hear sometimes!

Happy Birthday, Sean!
I can't believe Sean turned 5 today! He started out the morning by saying, "I'm ready for my birthday!" At which point Reagan told him since it was his birthday he could have the 'special' barstool. (there's no difference between the two stools, but of course the kids have decided that one of them is better than the other)
